Used to work downtown 10 years ago and this was a regular spot and the soups were always great. Stopped back in recently and the soups are still awesome and just like a remembered it. Glad to see they take credit cards now as well. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
Let me tell you this spot is a go to hidden gem!! The soups are amazing for winter especially the chicken tortilla… but the star of the show AREPAS. This was my first time trying an arepa and let me tell you EVERYONE needs to try one. My favorite is the chicken I go and order almost everyday. I mean just fantastic!! The staff is just perfect. Fast, intelligent, and kind people that you can tell they care about your food and experience. Please give this a try!!!!
Arepas! Arepas!! Arepas!!! Today I tried the Pabellón arepa for the first time. It's the best thing I've had in Ann Arbor in a long while. The shredded beef, beans, cheese, and plantain inside were tremendous. The flavors all complement one another. It's also a meal - I saved my soup for later! We also love the Tortilla soup at Le Dog, as well as the chili dogs. Great spot to grab a quick meal - and all the ladies working there are so nice and well-organized. One of the best spots in Ann Arbor.
