Best cheap lunch in town! Great staff. It's one of the few remaining old school Ann Arbor business that's unique (there's probably only 20 left by my estimate). Started by a French cuisine trained chef who was tired of working for others 40 years ago. They serve hot dogs, yes, but mainly soups. Soup that is not apre-made nightmare from Sysco or GFS. Used to work downtown 10 years ago and this was a regular spot and the soups were always great. Stopped back in recently and the soups are still awesome and just like a remembered it. Glad to see they take credit cards now as well. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Let me tell you this spot is a go to hidden gem!! The soups are amazing for winter especially the chicken tortilla… but the star of the show AREPAS. This was my first time trying an arepa and let me tell you EVERYONE needs to try one. My favorite is the chicken I go and order almost everyday. I mean just fantastic!! The staff is just perfect. Fast, intelligent, and kind people that you can tell they care about your food and experience. Please give this a try!!!!
