This may actually be my new favorite salon! Everyone is so nice and the owner is responsive to questions you have even before the appointment. So far I’ve had 2 appointments and I was offered a beverage during both. The vibes are calm in the salon and it feels comfortable. I got a silk press done and a natural hair style the second time. As I experiment with new natural styles, I look forward to coming here because they are skilled and really care about your hair and helping you achieve your desired look.
GG does amazing work. She is always professional, timely, and accommodating. I found her as a walk in client in need of a sew in refresh. Since then only 4 months into being her client my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. She works collaboratively and is very knowledgeable about hair care. She is a young shop owner but has the wisdom and professionalism of a tenured business professional. First time visiting this salon. I walked in and one lady just stared at me, not really saying much. It was awkward and I felt like the stare was giving “what are YOU doing in here?” Eventually another person said hello and to wait as I got there a few minutes before my appointment time. Fasika was definitely nice and gentle with my hair. Wash, steam (steamer drips on you!), and blow dry went well. Gelila is incredible- I’ve been here 3 times and I think that this is the only place I will come to as long as live in the DMV. She is professional, kind and does truly amazing work - I love coming here!
1. My appointment was at at 9am but no one showed up until 10. I had to call/text while I waited in my car. 2. I asked for braids on top with a crown and back straight with my natural hair. The stylist said she couldn't do it, but eventually did after me questioning why. She said sje wasn't good at designing but there weren't any designing. 3.
