Not to take pleasure in stomping on someones grave but good riddance! We tried Le Central multiple times in the 3+ years we have lived in Bristol. We wanted to love it, we would have been ok liking it but ultimately we couldn't even tolerate it. Food was not the major issue the service was, particularly the general manger/bartender. Welcoming? I heard it was being sold.
We recently visited Le Central in Bristol and had a nice overall experience. The restaurant has a charming French bistro atmosphere and a great location in the heart of Bristol. The menu offers a nice variety of French-inspired dishes, and the setting is comfortable and inviting. We ordered the lamb chops and the Niçoise salad. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience. I would definitely consider returning to explore more of the menu.
