A wonderful 4 night trip from Smiths Falls to Chaffey's Lock and back. Excellent staff working under base manager Veronica. The staff helped with booking, provided excellent trip briefing and boat handling instruction. The technical service was available when required.(which we didn't need) The boat was very clean; the kitchen was well equipped; plenty of space for 2 couples on a Horizon 3.
We had a wonderful trip. Enjoyed everything about it. The scenery, the weather, the friendly people we met at the locks and in towns and villages. The leisurely pace allows you to absorb so much more! I highly recommend the trip down, heading towards Kingston Next time we make it there and back! Boat was wonderful. Had everything we needed - absolutely no problems! The staff, Danielle, Troy, and Joe were extremely helpful in getting us off. We will definitely come back again!
A Wonderful Rideau Experience, but the Boat Needs Much Better Care We recently completed a three-night Le Boat trip on the Rideau Canal aboard a Horizon 4 with our family of four and two dogs. We thoroughly enjoyed the waterways, the freedom to explore, and the boat’s comfortable layout. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the boat handled well.
