I like LB Kitchen and stop in frequently for coffee/smoothie on the way to work or to pick up lunch. I like that I can order ahead and it's along my walking route. The staff are friendly and the food is good, albeit expensive for what it is (a lot of Portland restaurants are). One thing I noticed this morning that rubbed me the wrong way was a menu item titled "grilled sourdough + schmear." There are some great options for healthy food here. They do a great job too, the food is delicious and healthy at the same time, which is hard to find! Plus their coffee is fantastic.
I ordered the fancy grilled cheese and I can say it's easily the most boring grilled cheese I've ever eaten. I don't think I'll get sick from it, but it was so bland I couldn't even finish it. I added bacon to it, which one would think would save the dish only for the bacon to be barely cooked, leaving it limp on the sandwhich.
