We have geo-thermal as the "primary" and gas as "auxiliary", and we've been burning gas because it's relatively cheap currently. So, I noticed a weird smell and it turned out to be the gas furnace. It was not burning efficiently and I thought there might be a carbon monoxide problem, so I called LB. They came that day and diagnosed a problem with the gas furnace that required replacement.
