I would like to thank Angela and her entire family for creating this safe haven for our furfamily. We have 4 dogs and whenever we would go for vacation, we could only bring 2 dogs at a time and leave 2 behind due to pet restrictions and fees. We had such a wonderful weekend at this cabin. It’s surprisingly close to the city, yet it feels completely peaceful and quiet—exactly what we were looking for. The house itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, with great attention to detail in every corner. You can really tell the hosts care about creating a special experience for their guests. This review is long, long overdue! We love Lazy Pines E. Texas. Angela is an awesome, helpful host. The houses are great, with just about everything you'd need, and the area is quiet and peaceful. The towering trees are such a nice change of pace from Austin and there is really no place we would rather be in the fall. We love to go hiking at the Boykin Springs Recreation Area and the Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area with our dog. We had a nice little getaway, less than two hours from home and the dogs enjoyed it so much too! The cabin was clean, had all the amenities and it was quiet and peaceful too! Angela was great when we reached out and was super accommodating. The yard is full of rocks and dirt which our dogs loved, and the cabin had dog shampoo, a hose and towels, which we loved taking advantage of after their romping time! We definitely recommend, especially for our fellow "dogs are our children" peers!
Lazy Pines is designed for dogs! It isn’t just a place that allows dogs, it’s actually made for them! We enjoyed 2 days in the small Texas cabin- everything the dogs might need (besides their food & meds) was provided! I took my 3 large dogs + a tiny foster dog. We all loved spending time in the yard, enjoying the beautiful scenery around, walked the small trail on site, and then did some local hikes. Lots of cute dinner options in nearby town.
