This place feels less like a motel and more like a nice cottage. You can park right in front of your room. The room was standard, clean and had basic amenities. On the back side of the hotel there you get a nice view of landscapes. Also you have access to the river (we did not go). Restaurants are within a few minute driving distance. Very welcoming and amazing place, great for kids. Adjacent to a miniature farm where kids can watch goats and sheep, quick access to the river and trails, pool, playground. The room was spotless and comfy as well. We toured northern Cali for 8 days, this motel was the best experience we had (and we stayed in by far more expensive places).

FYI we stayed in the off season (March). The room was large and a little dated like most places are getting these days, but it was fine. K cup single cup coffee maker, mini fridge, air conditioner, small microwave, the gas fireplace for the heat source was a nice touch. Great property, a couple nice cats and a few wild turkeys from a neighboring project around loose. The turkeys were not aggressive and cool to watch. The cutest, most quaint and serene place we've stayed at in some time! Within 5 min of lots of yummy food options and 10 min from the Sequoias, the staff was super friendly, they lend out free DVD rentals, have lots of animals including turkeys, and a trail to take you right to the river... Super dog friendly too!! Absolutely recommend!
