We had the same exact experience today as the other reviewer. We also parked here at 12:30pm for the Somerville St. Patrick's Day parade. The entrance gate was also up when we arrived and a worker was there telling cars that "it's free today." Numerous cars including us went right in and parked. When we left at 3:45pm, there was a long line of cars as the gate was now down and a new worker was there, not allowing cars to leave. Today I arrived around 1:00 pm for the Somerville, NJ St. Patrick’s Day Parade. I was guided by a worker to park in your Edge at Main “public” parking deck instead of the ShopRite lot. The entrance guard was up, but myself and several cars attempted to pay the $4.00 fee for entrance to no avail. Finally, a worker stopped us and told us, “You don’t need a ticket for today.” I thanked him and parked.
