The boys from Layton Knight-Locke plumbing have been to our place [deep in the wood] a few times. The first time they arrived, our heatlines were not working properly, and as a result, our water from the well had frozen. Justin arrived at 11:00 p.m. on a Friday night. Called originally for an emergency at 1 in the morning on Christmas. The owner and his wife are the kindest souls and tried walking us through a solution, and was more than willing to come down and help two young adults try and get the situation resolved until morning. Thankfully their phone call provided much needed information for us all to get some sleep. They now are on their way to help fix the issue. Until I found out just how much the charge was for a 15 minute visit for a stubborn sewer plug I had solved myself before they arrived, I would have given a good rating. As it developed, the 2 techs came the afternoon I called, after I had solved the problem myself with aggressive persistent plunging, saying they were out of phone service already working in my area. Called about a leak from pressure tank. I had called during regular business hours and Noone could come and then they came after hours and I got charge 480 just for labour for less than an hour the technician was here. All he had to change was the pressure switch. Total charge was insane for this small job, above 600. Beware of high pricing. Not impressed at all.
