emely disappointed and frustrated with the care my 3-year-old son received at the Layton ED this past Saturday morning. He was five days post-op from a tonsillectomy and had been running a high fever (102–103°F) for over 24 hours, despite being on a strict rotation of Tylenol and ibuprofen. Super disappointed in the ER services at this hospital. Two family members were “treated” there after a car accident. The wait times were super long and the staff didn’t even clean their wounds. They weren’t examined other than assessed from a chair. I am not sure exactly what was done for them. I’m sure the bill will be horrendous. Hopeful that there are no lingering injuries that were missed.

If you are in pain and want to sit in a freezing cold waiting area for over 3 hours, this is your place! After they finally get testing done you get to wait additional hours for the Doctor to give results! All the staff just act like that’s the best they could do… beyond frustrating!

My family and I have been grateful recipients of excellent care each time we have needed to be seen in the emergency room. The entire medical team has continually provided compassionate and professional care. Thank you to every person that makes unsettling situations comfortable. Registration personnel, security and housekeeping are wonderful, too! Lacy in imaging is phenomenally patient and supportive & Van (a nurse) is simply remarkable in every way! 🥰

If I could give 0 stars I would. Do yourself a favor and go to urgent care if you’re worried about any possible health complications or issues. The doctors here do not care. It is honestly mind boggling that people go through years of education and still lack basic empathy. Specifically Wendy, Bowers. Doctor Bowers, of course, immediately asked me if I was pregnant, without thought or questions about my potential history in that regard. She was rude, had a cold demeanor and made me feel like I was an inconvenience. How dare ... read more
