The Norton Healthcare office scheduled me to see Layla Al-Shami because no other provider in the practice was available. She didn't listen and didn't read my history. She lacked compassion and understanding, and misdiagnosed my condition. Instead of filling the prescription she sent in, I got a second opinion from a provider at another practice, which resolved my issue. Months later, I'm still thankful I trusted myself to seek another opinion.
Layla is extremely thorough and compassionate at the same time. She recently helped me get into a specialist for an issue. The first thing the highly regarded specialist said to me was, "I just read through your chart and your GP is phenomenal!" I moved away from her office but still travel to see her because she is so good.
I love Nurse Layla! She reminds me so much of Dr. Mary Barry! She's thorough, she listens AND acts quickly! She asks questions and she honestly cares! I've been with Community Medical Services on Barret for more than 20 years! Nurse Layla was new coming in when Dr. Barry left to teach, I believe. I had no doubt after my first visit with her that she was the one! Anna G.
