Fred installed a retaining wall, patio and drainage pipe in my backyard 2 years ago. The retaining wall has begun to fall over. After speaking with 3 other companies and Delaware Code enforcement, the wall is not up to Delaware Code. Due to the height of the wall, Fred needed to obtain a permit, which he did not. Fred is not licensed/authorized to build walls above 4 feet high in Delaware. I highly recommend using another company for any landscaping or hardscaping needs. firewood delivery - many pieces too long. Phone call resulted in sayig that someone with a chain saw would be there the next day. No one came, no phone calls, no answers to my phone messages, no response to e-mail. So, I am stuck with overpriced fire wood and no resolution from Layaou. This all started near 3 weeks ago. Crummy company. Never again. Recommend staying away with them totally. Rating ZERO

We contracted with this company in 2010 to build retaining walls and a new paver walkway and steps leading up to our house. All of the work was done while we were at work. Initially the job looked great. However, by 2013 the walkway was starting to come apart and by 2014 the steps leading up to the house became dangerously tilted. This man is a crook, lier. How dare he drop trash soil that has ruin our front lawn. We now have wild weeds. When paying for concrete in our drain, he put river rock which now has weeds growing through. Same garbage soil was used in patch work. I personally took pictures in preparation to take this thief to court. The.BBB said it will warn the public but people like him will continue robbing the public. You decide.

To begin this company was asked to till up a large portion of our front yard then seed it with lime. While we were out they dumped two piles of trash filled dirt. When I called Fred he said "if you don't want us to do the work, we are not picking up the dirt." He then explain they will rake the trash out. After tilling the areas and rolling tracks in the yard, they filled the depression with the trash so called top soil with trash all through it. This man is a CROOK ! He ordered reclaimed bricks from me twice. First time he shorted me $100, second time it took over 2 weeks to collect half my money and he refuses to pay me the $500 he still owes me. In all it cost me $250 in loss doing business with this thief. He has numerous small claims filed against him in the past, his employees told me he is a piece of shit.
