I had a very disappointing experience with Lawyers Title in Plano, Texas. The escrow officer, Maria Bermudez, was clearly incompetent. It became apparent very quickly that she lacked the requisite experience and knowledge for the job. She began by asking foolish questions and then changed the closing date twice without explanation. Finally, on the scheduled closing date, after receiving the wired funds, she implied that we were ready to close.
