Like many my opinion about methadone was based on other people's stories and experiences. I had reached my rock bottom. My barely 1 yr old baby and I were about to be homeless. We ended up in a family shelter where I kept to myself mostly. Another parent came up to me, very privately gave me a paper with a number, when I looked at it, it said methadone clinic.
