In 2014 my husband and I purchased a diesel engine car from a major auto manufacturer. We were told that it was a clean diesel, that it would get up to 50 mpg and that, because it ran on petroleum diesel fuel, it would run for 300,000 miles without needing drive train maintenance. None of this turned out to be true.
