Our home purchase took much longer than expected, and paperwork in general took longer than promised. Items we specified not to be in the purchase agreement were, and we had to fix it at the other lawyers before signing. We also ended up paying for some things that didn't need to be done. We were told our abstract would be ready a couple weeks after the purchase was finalized, but after multiple calls, got it 4 months after closing.
