I left in tears because these lawyers told me i didn't have a case and wanted $5,000 for a retainer fee. I understand if it doesn't get used, you get some back, but what single mom of 5 has 5k on hand? I was told my ex had a good lawyer and they knew the judge and i wasnt going to win. ALWAYS meet with multiple lawyers. I met another one the same day and said i had a strong case and i had plenty of evidence and they won my case.
