Do not use him under any circumstance. He took 350 dollars from me and never went to court leading to me having warrants out for my arrest and losing my driver's license. He lied twice saying he took care of it but upon calling the courts myself found out he had not taken care of it. I wish I had seen the ladies review about him stealing 10,000 dollars from her, because he most certainly did. Completely unprofessional and I will be reporting him. Communication started off well, but unfortunately, it became infrequent as we continued. Eventually, I had to let him go because I didn't receive invoices for the services provided. There was also an incident where he couldn't attend a court session and had a stand-in lawyer who was quite unprepared. Despite this, Mr. Cavanaugh expected me to pay another retainer for that session after he already received a recent payment .
Mr. Cavanaugh took $10,000 of my money and has done nothing to assist me or my child. He is being reported to the court disciplinary board. Please please if you care anything about your estate, your children or your own future do NOT hire this man. If you or your family has been taken advantage of by this attorney please reach out to me. There are so many more of us than anyone realizes.
Mr.. Cavanaugh took my case pertaining to my federal retirement. There was an error in how a court order from my divorce many years ago was applied to my pension, affecting it in a very negative way. After several attempts on my part to contact them to find out how this had happened, and with no response from them, I contacted Mr. Cavanaugh for help. As of today’s date, he has seemingly lost a very important piece of evidence (a legally attained audio recording from the police department) that I gave to him as it related to a case he had represented me in, and instead of just admitting that he lost it, he accused me of illegally taping a police officer; which is a complete fabrication.
