Dr.McDowell has the nicest nurses in town, they all smile and greet you on arrival and dismissed,always offering assistance, showing the ultimate care of their physician. Dr. McDowell always ask how you are doing,even though her nurses have previously done the same, she wants no stone unturned asking more questions, going over the bloodworm done prior to appointment and anything that might improve it. She is amazing.
Laveta McDowell, MD is a poor Dr for me. She never investigated what was causing my problem. She just reviewed the labs and sent me on the way. Turns out if she had investigated she could of brought my numbers down like my new DR. did. All it took was a biopsy for the new DR. to figure out it was an inflammation that could be treated to bring my numbers down.
I received a phone call informing me that I was required to wear a mask before entering the building. I said I didn't approve of the mask mandate and felt it was politics instead of medicine being practiced and I requested "please cancel my appointment". The help began schooling me on the importance of my appointment so I asked for a prescription for the device to be sent to my pharmacy. The help went on a short tirade and canceled my appointment.
Dr. McDowell is a wonderful doctor, but some of the office staff are absolute tyrants… (looking at you, Angela.)
