Excellent kava and nice people.
Such an awesome spot! Lava Kava on Washington Ave is honestly one of the coolest chill places in Portland. The vibe is super relaxed and welcoming, and they’ve got all kinds of great herb-based drinks — kava, kratom, teas, and other blends that you just don’t find anywhere else around here. Daniel (the bartender) is great — super friendly, knows his stuff, and you can tell he and his mom really care about the place. I love this place. The owner sets a great vibe. Good kava. Thursday is trivia night.
Had heard about this place a while back and finally got a chance to visit. The owner, Miriam was super welcoming and cool. I had some of the traditional kava and it was top notch. I'll definitely be back again next time I am in the area!
