We held my daughter's baby shower here on 7/19/25. This venue was in a great location (near the Columbia Metropolitan Airport) which was great for our guests traveling to celebrate with us. The owner was hands on and exceeded every expectation. They accommodated all of our requests. The Lava Events Center boast a great location with grade A customer service.

If you are looking for a venue…this is the PLACE!! Latanya is very professional and pleasant. I booked two graduation parties here and she was very accommodating to my needs.

Fantastic business to work with! We had my daughter’s Sweet 16 here & there was lots of room. We even decided to hire Latanya as our decorator and she did NOT disappoint. Her attention to detail was fantastic. Great price & location with handicap parking, if needed. I will definitely be using this venue & Latanya again with my next event. THANK YOU

I’ve used this venue multiple times and each time was a great experience. The owner is very pleasant and always available to assist with anything needed to ensure my events are a success. I will continue to use this event space in the future!

I attended a baby shower at the Lava Event Center in Columbia, SC, and it was a lovely experience. The space was clean, spacious, and well-decorated—perfect for the occasion. The staff was kind and accommodating, making sure things ran smoothly. The only small issue was that the trash instructions weren’t very clear, and the hosts had to reach out to the owner for clarification. Overall, it’s a great venue for events like this.
