When I first came to Laurie, my mind & body & emotions were in crisis mode all the time. When she gave me certain tools to use it was difficult for me to even sit still for 5 minutes. Now, I meditate daily, have overcome addiction, unhealthy relationships & even critical illness. Years after seeing her, I still go back to her resources that she offered. It takes work, but a new life awaits. There is joy in the process. You are safe with her. No judgement.
When I came to her I was only leaving the house for therapy and to get groceries I wore sunglasses constantly in public, shielded most of my body in some way or another I leave the house every day now. Yeah, I did the work But she made me feel safe enough to do it
