I was seen by Dr.Laurie Cockran yesterday for the first time ...couldn't be more pleased with my visit....she is very attentive and has a kindness most people lack....I felt comfortable and I felt heard....I think I'm gonna like my new Doctor and this place is not far from home ...I was driving to Gray to see a doctor that is lazy and lies....( Will not say who or where)....but I'm going to be happy with this Doctor and the staff I can't say enough good about how helpful they are .....and no more long trips too....so switchi... read more
I went to Dr. Cochran for a wellness visit a few years ago after my initial PCP retired. My encounter with Dr. Cochran lasted only a few minutes and felt rushed despite the encounter being coded as a wellness visit. There was no review of systems or physical assessment even though she documented it in the SOAP note. I have since been with a different PCP and couldn't be more happier. I now feel heard and my appointments aren't rushed.
Dr. Cochran is a great dr. Very friendly and listens to what you need and does her best to help. It's hard to find a good dr but when i went in today I only waited 5 minutes and I was in the back and she came right in. Every issue I had, she fixed it. I left very satisfied. I think I finally found my forever dr.
I simply called to ask for a nausea medication for my mother who was experiencing nausea from an infusion that she had done. Dr. Cochran simply said that she was the neurologist would have to give her the medication, however it was symptomatic care. She was then told she had to COME IN to be seen, which would have been a waste of time knowing that she was not only feeling well, but that she was clearly only going to waste her time to only tell her to go to her neurologist to be treated. UPDATE: When I called to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Cochran I was under the normal impression that I was speaking with a receptionist directly in Dr. Cochran's office in Forsyth GA. I was recently informed that this is not the case. Dr. Cochran has a messenger service through ATRIUM HEALTH NAVICENT who schedules all appointments. I recently received my medical records and found no record of the phone conversation I now know was ATRIUM HEALTH NAVICENT messenger service not Dr. Cochran's receptionist regarding an appoi... read more
