I chose an internist because she's supposed to have higher knowledge of certain diseases and should be able to help me manage them. I tested positive for an illness which was never added to my diagnoses. She sent me to multiple specialists for chronic pain and fatigue. I was started on a low-dose pain medication while she was on maternity leave and now that she had returned, she is refusing to continue my pain meds and has said she doesn't believe she's helping me, which I agree. Dr Miller listens well, takes the time to explain if you have questions, and seems to really know her stuff. She's also very reassuring if you have medical anxiety.
