I’ve been bringing my dog to this veterinary office for years, but my last visit was very disappointing. I scheduled an appointment through their automated system for a same day issue. My dog was limping and clearly in pain. The system gave me a time about 20 minutes out. I truly cannot say enough about Laurel Road Vet! I established with them this past winter as I am a snowbird that rents in Nokomis. My 15 year old Jack Russell had recently been diagnosed with heart disease and I needed a local vet. The entire staff is exceptional at what they do. I loved the autonomy given to the nurses. My boy continued to deteriorate and they walked with me every step of the way. Their communication was excellent as well as compassionate . I will never go back there. My appointment was at 3:30 PM, and I arrived at 3:20 PM. They took me in right away, but then placed me in a small room without windows and left me waiting for 40 minutes. Forty minutes. I started getting very nervous because I had to be at work shortly after, and the doctor still hadn’t come in. A nurse briefly came in, checked her ears, and left. Best vet clinic I've ever been used. Dr T is awesome and has helped our dog when sick with the best of care. We travel frequently out of the country and they are extremely helpful in getting the exams and paperwork for international travel for my service dog. Thank you.
