This place is not a rehabilitation center. Do let this deceive you the name on the building is a cover up…..!This is a nursing home. I never agree to put him in no nursing home . My father has been here for 1 month and the therapy has not been so great. They tell me that my dad will not walk again. But he has movement on his legs. I give Laurel Ridge 5 stars but I wish I could give them 10! My sister was recently hospitalized four times in two months with various complicated medical issues. By the time she arrived at Laurel Ridge, she couldn't move her body, open her eyes or speak. I wasn't sure she was going to survive. I have had experiences previously with nursing homes with other family members and friends and I would not give any of the others more than 2 stars and that's being generous. Inside this facility is the most rudest , disrespectful, evil , condescending people you will ever meet . They don’t know how to be compassionate and shouldn’t be operating as a business! They are run by nurses who don’t know to care for the patients they don’t respect their staff they think they can talk to people how ever they want to . They spend half their time sniffing around nurses carts looking for trouble . We have had a loved one living at Laurel Ridge Rehab. for 3 years and can't say enough about the professional, kind, and dedicated staff at the facility. Our love one is a long term care recipient, challenged with most all daily needs. All of my aunts belongings, including her cell phone, were stolen before discharge. She was left with no clothes except those on her back upon picking her up. Absolutely disgusting.
