Really cool cave in PA offering self guided and guided tours as well as extended caving tours. Physically challenging at times but the beauty of the cave was worth it. Gift shop on site has neat trinkets and souvenirs for all ages. Chilly underground so bring a hoodie.
A must stop if you live in or are visiting Fayette County!
Visitor center is old and smells like a musty basement. The guided tour doesn't take you past much...maybe one cool formation. It is also very short. We did not do the self guided at the end since my mom was tired and did not want to walk any more. For the reason you can see more with ticket price and we didn't do, I rate 4 stars. Otherwise just 3 is what I would give. Unfortunately I have been to other caverns, caves that were far more impressive
We had a big group of scuba divers and friends go on the deep depths tour. The experience was great from the very start with Lillian helping us reserve a group tour. Our guide was PJ and he was fantastic! He was great at checking in with everyone, full of information and history about the caverns and had a great sense of humor dealing with our shenanigans! PJ definitely deserves a good bonus for handling us, but overall for being such a fantastic guide!
