Laurel is the most precious, caring, Biblically wise Counselor you will ever find. She genuinely listens and will provide heartfelt counsel with scriptural encouragement and hope. She always provides notes with a plan forward. Words cannot express how eternally grateful I am for her.
I went to her practice when I was a kid, but she was friends with my mom and went to our church which is a conflict of interest (pretty sure that’s illegal). I didn’t get help and now I’m seeing a therapist who does evidence based therapy instead of religious stuff that doesn’t work. Laurie was nice and listened, but I didn’t get the help I desperately needed, instead I was told to pray away my problems (surprise this didn’t work). I would recommend seeing a therapist that does evidence based therapy like DBT or CBT.
Laurel is a great Christian Councelor. She provides patients with long term tools to successfully help her patients. Teaching a man to fish instead of a quick bandaid. She is quick to respond to issues outside of the actual meetings. And provides you with her notes after each session in case you forgot what was talked about. I highly recommend her especially for Christians. She loves the LORD with all of her heart and truly has a vested interest in your well being and furthering Gods kingdom
