After years and years of being told my heavy, debilitating, irregular periods were normal since I was 12, I found Dr. Kota around 2019. She listened and diagnosed my endometriosis instead of being another dismissive doctor telling me to lose weight. We've been on a journey to treat it since, and I couldn't be more grateful to her. She also listens to my fears about pap smears, since my last attempt happened in an er and traumatized me. Thank you Doc.
I have been seeing Dr. Kota since 2020 I believe and she has been the most professional and understanding doctor I ever had. After going through life seeing doctors in PA and FL she finally diagnosed me with PCOS and put me on the right treatment for it. I have had multiple miscarriages before and my last baby lost to IC. After meeting with Dr. Kota for an OB appt, I switched from McLaren to Sparrow. A doctor who vocally disagrees with their patient regarding personal, moral decisions which align with their faith tradition, is not a doctor I want delivering my baby.
The worst OB I’ve ever seen. Will never ever let her touch me again.
Took my friend here for an appointment about a week ago. Overweight doctor lectured my friend, who has made extraordinary progress on her weight loss journey, so much about her weight that she was crying in the car. Doctor needs to stay in her own lane - not a dietitian. Also, perhaps work on the hypocrisy.
