I called to schedule an appointment with Dr. Laura Barker and spent 7 minutes on hold, only to be informed of a restrictive clinic policy. New patients are required to see a nurse practitioner named JD for 4 to 6 months before they are ever allowed to see Dr. Barker. Many female patients specifically choose a practice because they prefer a female physician for their healthcare.
