Dr. Levin was the first pediatrician to see our son the morning after he was born. It had been an extremely difficult night, as I was struggling with breastfeeding following a radical breast reconstruction. Dr. Levin excused himself, and came back a few minutes later with two cases of formula. He hugged me and said, "You gave him everything you could, and that was best!" The willingness to take the time to explain and the ability to explain in a way that the patient can understand her has greatly improved my ability to properly care for my son and help the whole family and home health nurses better understand my son's conditions.
