I have been going to Dr. Aguilar for a few years now and I enjoy going to my Doctor's visits with her. She listens but also expects for you to follow her advice, she doesn't mess around and tells you straight how it is. I appreciate her honesty and I understand that if you go see a Doctor and don't follow her advice then might as well not go. Dr. Aguilar is straight to the point but she is also empathetic. Some people may not like that but she means well and she does really care. I really like Dr. Laura Aguilar.
I don’t really ever leave negative reviews online, so please listen when I suggest you pick a different primary care doctor. The final straw for me was an appointment which I scheduled because Dr. Aguilar refused to continue refilling medication until I came for an in-person checkup (which I completely understand and have no issue with). When I show up to the appointment, she asks why I’m there, I tell her, and she sighs and proceeds to act as if I’m wasting her time (even though she told me to come in). Dr Aguilar has been a helpful, responsive & engaged PCP. She is thoughtful, well informed and refers me to specialists as needed.
I am writing this to share my 85 year old aunts experiences with Dr Aguilera. My aunt has seen Dr Aguilera multiple times and found her to be demeaning and lacks empathy/compassion. My aunt was there for a physical - Dr Aguilera was leaving the room and my aunt said aren't you going to check my heart and her response was... Walked over to my aunt, held the stethoscope to her chest and said YUP, STILL TICKING! My Aunt also brought in bloodwork and EKG results and asked the Dr to translate them and she did not. :( Please bring... read more
