Excellent all around. Room was clean and spacious, the property is beautiful, and the host was excellent. I cannot recommend it enough.
Beautiful location and a great bed & breakfast experience. The host is very hospitable and friendly. The property is so pretty and tranquil. Nice pool and sandbar access. The property is perfect for walks. Wildlife around, especially deer. Only 15 minutes from Cape Charles. We felt so refreshed after our trip.
We just spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend at the Laughing King. The room was beautiful and the property is ideally located just north of Cape Charles. MJ is a caring and helpful host (who also cooks an amazing breakfast!) with great recommendations for activities and dining in the area. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway on Virginia's Eastern Shore, miles from noise and blaring lights, we could not recommend the Laughing King highly enough.
Beautiful house and wonderful host!! This was such an absolutely perfect weekend - the suite was spacious, the location was breathtaking, the breakfasts were very tasty, and MJ's recommendations for things to do in the area were spot on. We're already longing for a return trip...
