I've been a patient at Latrobe Family Medical Practice for only a short while (since May 2025), and unfortunately I've had two individual instances where referrals were meant to be sent off in advance, which hasn't happened. One being a psychologist referral, which I had to follow up six weeks later with the actual centre. They advised they had not received any referral for myself, so I had followed this up with haste. Good luck if you need to see your GP with any urgency. Booked out for weeks and inflexible working hours.
Great staff, well-trained doctors, but they're almost always closed and their waiting list is incredibly long.

Since moving to Tasmania Latrobe from mainland i had struggled to find a good GP abd I've been to several different surgeries over the course of 2 years from Launceston to burnie. Latrobe, Dr.Ozi especially! Along with several other great doctors when his not available have been fantastic! They are just so supportive towards me and my young growing family, from vacines for babies, too, general health problem's, referrals and even mental health problems.
