There are some positive reviews of Lars Hertzog, and that is good. However, that was NOT my experience at all. And yet, I put up with it for five long years: He seems competent in what he does but his bedside manner is very iffy indeed. I was NEVER made to feel comfortable asking him questions, legitimate questions meant to enhance my knowledge about my condition. Exceptionally kind and compassionate physician. Takes his time and gets to know the patient. Thorough in explaining symptoms and diagnosis. I’m confident I have a surgical specialist should I need one in the future. He has a friendly staff as well. I’ve been with Eye Physicians since their old days on Cherry Street in Los Al. They are now in a great location in Long Beach. Ample parking and within an ultra high tech, modern, three floor facility.
