I just bought a matched pair of top-of-the-line Franchi O/Us from Larry's Trading Post. These guns are excruciatingly beautiful and obviously the buttstocks and forestocks were milled from the same billet of drop dead gorgeous walnut. The Franchi catalog advertises AA Turkish Walnut for their Instinct Side Plate model. This wood is at least AAA and probably AAAA grade!
