I actually found Lara Caldas after searching for the 'best hairdresser in Santa Cruz for blondes,' and the results did not disappoint! I was specifically looking for a balayage with very natural-looking results, and she did a fantastic job. You can tell immediately that she has a great sense of style and stays up-to-date on the latest hair techniques and education. The salon itself is super cute, and I really appreciated that she uses high-quality products that left my hair feeling healthy.

Got hair cut and keratin treatment. Got refunded for the haircut. Should’ve gotten a full refund because the keratin treatment lasted like a week if not less than that. This was back around April just forgot to say something. It was so bad though I thought it should be put up for people 2 see, so I’m doing so now. The pictures you see are the day it got cut and the pictures of the end of my hair are the day after to show how much the keratin treatment did
I booked a color correction with Lara, though it ended up being a Balayage, and I couldn’t be happier. First, Lara is welcoming, really listens to what you want and talks through her process, sets realistic expectations (and the over performs) and really dedicates time to each client. She works out of a private studio that is beautifully designed, quiet and comfortable.
