I really wanted to give 5 stars but unfortunately I can’t distinguish this salon from other cheaper ones around Chatswood (other than the decor). I will preface my review by mentioning my nails look fantastic - the shape, application and colour are perfect. However, the service I paid for ($125) did not seem ‘luxury’ for the following reasons: - the chairs are beautiful but uncomfortable to sit on. I paid $150 for a bio gel + tips manicure, which is considerably more than other nail salons in the area are charging, but given the positive reviews I decided to visit Laque. Within 24 hours of having my nails done I noticed several of the false tips had separated from my natural nails, leaving a noticeable gap and structural weakness. Not the cleanest place, extremely hard to speak to staff, 2 staff spent the whole time taking extremely loud on the phone next to us. Paint on the pedi changed into a discoloured gross colour. Staffs clothing was tearing at the seams and was so worn is was unpleasant. It was also very expensive despite the fake luxury appearance

Made a booking over the phone and drove all the way there only to be told 10 minutes before my booking time that I’d have to come back tomorrow because they had two walk in’s. So unprofessional.

I made a booking for Sunday morning at 10am, yet when I arrived on time I still had to wait for 15 min to get started. The original Nail technician I booked for (who had good reviews online) ended up being switched with another technician without me being told 🤷🏼‍♀️ While the technician was polite, I felt the Shellac manicure was a bit rushed (even though I was the ONLY customer in store), and the paint job was not neat, instead it smeared around the edges and doesn't look good at all.
