This obgyn office called me & said they called my medicare card no. by medicare a week before my appt and my number came up invalid. They told me to call medicare. Because i worked for a municipality my retirement included health care if medicare doesn't cover. I told that to the office but they refused to bill that insurer. So i called medicare and yes i got to speak to a rep who said my obgyn is wrong. My card is valid. I called my obgyn back and they still insisted it isn't and wanted a reference no for the call. Horrible staff. Could not get an appointment for over a month, called 3x and was hung up on twice. No apologies, no bed side manner. Where is the menopause support when you need it? Moving on to Dr. Augustine. Michelle, you can do better.
She’s been my doctor for many years listens. I feel heard and she has a delightful personality, nice energy level and her entire staff is very pleasant and helpful.
I’m kind of a doctor snob and I went to this practice today for the first time and saw Dr. Lapayowker and what a great experience I had. The front desk, nurses and staff were professional, courteous, and pleasant. The doctor was just amazing. It’s so hard to find a good GYN in Plantation and the surrounding areas and I have been both to Cleveland Clinic and University of Miami for years and have not had as good of experience as I did with Dr. Michele (with one L :) Lapayoker today. I am very disappointed with Dr. Lapayowker and her staff. She rushed through my appointment and did not take time to answer to my concerns. She also has very poor bedside manners, and she was very rude during my exam. She is the worst gynecologist I have ever visited. She also prescribed a bunch of lab tests without even letting me know what those were for and when I asked about pricing, her nurse was rude about it and refused to check, then her assistant stated they could just mail the bill.
