Terrible night. Thankful it was only one. The phone did not work (not even a dial tone). The deadbolt did not work. We tried 5 different devices to get on to the wifi and nothing worked (iPhone, Android phones and tablet and a PC laptop). The manager didn't really care. When asked to give me $10 off the room, I was told the owner lived in India, and only he could make an adjustment. I asked them to get back to me. They did not. I love the sense in this motel that one has a private bungalow rather than a mere room in a rabbit hutch. The bungalow is admittedly spare, and the amenities are minimal, but I like that the wifi is relatively consistent and allows me to watch my favorite Netflix shows, and the South Asian Hindu owner is cute and very charming. He was amazed when I quoted from the fourth chapter of the Bhagavad-Gita from memory.
