Romantic Italian Dinner with delicious food and warm atmosphere – We frequently visit the Lantana Cafe because it is the best Italian restaurant in the Medford/Malden area. Though it is small, the ambiance is great with tin ceilings and warm red walls, candlelight and friendly staff. The food is excellent - I have never had a dish I didn't like. The spinach ravioli is especially good, as is the bruschetta. Great date restaurant!
My best kept secret..until now:) – I am always amazed at this place. I stumbled across it when I first moved to Davis Sq from Kansas. I was lost and looking for directions! They gave me excellent directions as well as the best calamari I've ever had. May not mean much from a girl who grew up land-locked with no fresh seafood in sight. Great find! – We have just moved to the area and were sooo happy to find a wonderful brunch place! Great atmosphere, great food and very reasonable prices. Overall a fantastic find. Hoping to try the dinner menu soon, in fact, we may just have to go back there tonight!
One of Medford's Many Secrets – Funky place and diverse menu. Everything -- from appetizers to pizza, dessert to wine, entrees to brunch -- is excellent! May need to make reservations for Friday and Saturday night. The place is small. For dinner, try any of the specials. For brunch, try the Lantana French toast.
fabulous and funky! – My husband and I have visited Lantana Cafe on many occasions. We have always been impressed with the family service and how the waitstaff recognize us. Dinner always begins with delicious bread with fragrant spiced olive oil. Several of the appetizers are among my favorites, but the stuffed grape leaves are delicious and the grilled vegetable appetizer is nutritious, crisp, seasonal and perfectly seasoned.
