I called in earlier yesterday regarding several symptoms and they informed me I’d get a call back in a few hours regarding if I’d be able to come in; not 5 minutes later a got a very nice call informing me I could get in at 7. Normally with clinics you get told one time and it’s 3 hours after that time, but I showed up last night at 6:45 and they got me in then and there. This place is such a waste of time and Taxpayers money. I walked in with a fractured wrist. They refused to even do a X-ray for me. The nurse just handed me a sticky note with a website written on it for Virtual Care. Her response was go to this website upload pictures of your swollen wrist and someone will get back to you within 24 hours. I was shocked with this response.
I recently called for availability at Langley Urgent Care Clinic about an ankle injury, hoping to avoid the Emergency Room given the current strains on the medical system and the non-emergent nature. I was quite disappointed with the guidance I received. The nurse I spoke with advised me to go to a walk-in clinic to get a referral for outpatient tests, stating, "not everything has to come here."
