Have you ever gone to Seattle and made sure you went up in the Space Needle because you felt no trip there would be complete without doing so even though lots of people told you it wasn't worth it but you do it anyways and afterwards you agreed with everyone that it didn't live up to the hype? The rooms are pretty basic—you’re clearly paying for the location, and keep in mind that not all rooms overlook the ocean (and those ocean views cost extra). The balconies are small with high railings that block your view while seated, and room service is nonexistent. It’s essentially a Motel 8 with a view

FYI the bar closed at 9pm on July 20 2026 in Alaska at the lands end resort at the end of the pacific coasts highway hwy 1. That’s messed up! We drove from Mexico boarder to Homer!
