I am a real estate agent sharing the experience I had with the management company of the Landmark Lofts. I referred a client here who leased a $2000.00 unit Sep. 16, 2019. The property manager at that time promised a commission check after 30 days of said client living in the unit. After the 30 day mark I called back to send an invoice and the manager Tracy informed me the OWNER of the Landmark said "she is now paying out locators AFTER the said clients has occupied their unit for 90 days." 90 days later I called back and e-mailed the invoice again because they lost the original invoice. I followed up several times trying to locate the commission check and one time (Tracy, Property Manager) Informed me that the owner had several outstanding invoices with other companies and I most likely will not be getting paid. This raised some red flags for me and I followed up a week later and Tracy was no longer with the company. I then spoke with a lady named Megan (Ast. Manager) who sounded annoyed and bothered I was trying to collect an agreed upon commission check. She told me "Dustin this is the first time EVER hearing about this, can you please send all the information you have and I will see what I can get worked out" I resubmitted all the documentation for the 3rd time and awaited a returned call. Three weeks had passed so I decided to follow up. I spoke with Megan again and she said "corporate has the information and I am waiting to hear back from them to see what is going on with your check." I followed up every week on Monday mornings and received the same reply to my call every time. "Dustin, I have not heard back from corporate yet, I do not know what is going on, I will keep you posted" That was January 13th. I kept following up about once every other week and continued to receive the SAME reply, "I am sending corporate an e-mail, I do not know what is going on" This went on until I went in there directly April 27, 2020. Finally things started to move. Megan sent me an e-mail the next day saying they approved my commission check and corporate was going to pay the balance. Later that same day she send another e-mail saying the balance was paid. I called my broker and he did not see any checks that cleared his account in regards to this matter, I passed the information along to Megan and she replied "Dustin I also checked OUR accounts and we have not paid the balance, so we will get you paid" TODAY I receive a phone call from Megan saying they have a copied check form their bank that a deposit was made for the commission pay and was endorsed on the back. I asked my broker about this and sent him the check, He said he did not know that the check was for the commission as it was from a company called T4V3 LLC, he had no idea who that was and was still trying to locate this company to see what business they actually operated and why they sent hime a 1,000.00 check. SO after 8 MONTHS this company finally paid the promised commission and made me jump through hoops. This community DOES NOT have their property together, if the check was wrote on March 15th why didn't they just tell me they had wrote a check and sent me the signed check copy so we can get the account closed on our end. This SPEAKS for for how unorganized the OWNER Sharon and her property management team are, along side Megan and their high turnover rate. This has been an arduous endeavor that I am glad is over. Please let this be a an example of how they handle vendors, and if they handle someone who is bringing them business this way how would they actually handle their tenants.
