Mara had a stroke. She couldn’t use her left hand or her left leg and foot and her speech was affected. We took her to Landmark Hospital in Joplin Missouri. The hospital is very clean and each patient has their own room. We were very pleased and thankful that the Physical Therapist, Occupational therapist, and Speach Therapist were fabulous. My son spent over a month in Landmark. The first night he was transferred, we arrived at ten o'clock. We were told that he could have a visitor stay with him since he was in a private room. That's the main reason we chose Landmark. We were told it was too late at night to help get him settled and we were asked to leave. We didn't get to choose our transport time. You have to go when an ambulance is available. I had to stand outside and call the director in order to get his visitor back in to stay with him. The Nurse was very... read more
