It’s 7:30am on Christmas Eve and they are using an excavator as a jackhammer on the road outside our house. Things on the walls of our entire house are shaking. When confronted about all the noise, it being a most unpleasant way to be woken up, and asking if it wouldn’t be more effective to just use a jackhammer I was given a shrug of the shoulders and told that it wasn’t his call to make.
