I’ve been going to Harvest Days there in October ever since I was a kid. Now I’ve been taking my own kids there for the same thing for the last 10 years. I love this place. Always a blast and everyone is so nice.

Very nice museum. It was nice to see a piece of history. I was kind of disappointed with the festival I guess I was expecting more. And the map of the grounds did not match up with any of the buildings at all. So we had to see things out of order.

Had such a great time there with my grandson who is 3. we went inth old buildings or looked through the window. pet the horses at the barn. A man who worked there was getting ready to feed the animals and invited my grandson. Him and another little boy gotto feed the pigs water melon squash. the ducks and sheep too, mostly by tossing it over the fense and watching, (A lt of fun for little ones) lovely scenery, wagon rides take you across the grounds. We loved it and will be back again!!

The first time I was there it was 1983. The area around it has changed quite a bit. But it is still a beautiful place to step back in time. My children loved it just as much as I did. We will definitely be back next year on our vacation.

It's been years since I visited and I am grateful I crossed the river!, especially with the civil war encampment! It's a wonderful living history of our nation and state and I admire the talent, dedication, and experience of those who tell the story! I highly recommend it to all visitors and locals!
