All I can say is read the reviews carefully. The reviews about him keeping boats way longer than he had promised are true. Promises promises and boat kept for weeks and weeks past when he promised.
My SeaRay has been in Dan's shop a few times. Each time my boat comes back as promised - even in July when he is slammed. Big thanks to Dan for helping me get back out on the water.
Purchased an older boat with an older outboard and had issues with it from day one. Spoke to Dan about the issues, I brought it down and he told me it would be a bit before he could get to it. I was fine with that. Checked in with him on a semi regular basis and he was always upfront about time frame. When my boat was next in line, he cleaned up the carb and performed some other maintenance but there were still issues. This man knows his s#!t!
This is my very first online review and unfortunately it's because I want to warn others. I don't want anyone else to go through what we did over the last year with Dan. We dropped our boat off for a fuel pressure test/fuel delivery issue last June 2021. Our boat eventually sat untouched for over a year. I politely asked for updates more than 15 times over that year and received more promises than I can count.
