Great staff, great programs, and overall a great experience for the last 3 years!
My husband and I participate in a senior ukulele group at the Center every Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:30. Afterwards we are fed lunch. The ukulele group is wonderful and fun. Tina, who runs the Senior Center, is fabulous.
I was extremely disappointed with the level of supervision and programming at Lancaster Summer Camp. I expected a structured, engaging environment for children, but instead found that much of their time was spent watching YouTube videos with minimal oversight. Content like Skibidi Toilet and MrBeast is not appropriate for a supervised camp setting, especially without proper context or moderation. Lancaster rec gives children who don't have the means to go to a paid pool to be able to enjoy this summer by opening up the wading pools, and you have people out there that are so disrespectful enough to vandalize and trash these pools.,.. Install cameras at the pools, prosecute anybody you catch vandalizing... People need to start accepting accountability for the stuff that they do...
